You may like this, which is like your experience:

A certain lady dreamed one night that she had written a poem so beautiful, so wise, so close to the ultimate truth of life that she was immediately acclaimed by all the peoples on the earth as the greatest poet and philosopher of all the ages. All the world's problems would be solved.

Still half asleep as the dream ended, she stumbled out of bed and scribbled the poem down, realizing that she must take no risk of forgetting such deathless lines. She awoke in the morning with the feeling that something wonderful was about to happen—oh, yes! Her poem.

She clutched the precious paper and, tense with excitement, read the words she had written. Here they are:

    Hogamus Higamus
    Men are Polygamous
    Higamus Hogamus
    Women Monogamous

This goes back to at least 1939 (!) and received national U.S. recognition when reprinted in the Reader's Digest in 1940.

I love your work, and am so happy you take the trouble to translate some into
English. Your English is MUCH better than my French. I find the occasional little English translation mistakes you make to be charming; they add something back of the feel of the original French. Never feel bad if someone corrects your English--we would only do it because we LOVE YOU!!!

I had much the same experience at the dentist, under nitrous oxide. An entire parade of stunningly deep, brilliant, philosophical thoughts, that had me rapturously thinking "I MUST REMEMBER THIS!!"

I definitely remember thinking "I MUST REMEMBER THIS!!" Remember what? Not a clue, terribly sorry....

I love your strip, and share your exasperation with the caprice of brains.

So funny! I wonder if you meant "Relative to the size of its brain ..." which is how I read it. This was always a laugh to me when I was a kid, because I was told that Tyrannosaurus Rex had a brain the size of a pea, so other dinosaurs always outsmarted him.

Regardless, as always, thank you for posting, your comics make me so happy.
